The Badminton Wales Senior Team travelled to the Ukranian and Polish border recently for the qualifying rounds of The European Championships and Pembroke Dock's Jordan Hart was in the small squad. They were up against Poland, Finland and Hungary with only the winners of the group progressing to the main Finals.
Although they managed a comfortable win over Hungary, they lost to the other two countries who are well above Wales in World rankings.
Jordan and her doubles partner Carissa Turner were the mainstay of the welsh match wins in the tournament in Ladies doubles and singles with the men competing well but not registering any wins. Their personal results made it a good tournament for them despite the disappointment of the overall team results.
In fact Jordan lost her regular mixed partner with illness on the day of travelling and had they been playing together it was thought that Wales would have edged out Finland as they needed just one more win in what was a very close contest.
